Apple Discontinues iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus After iPhone 17 Launch

iPhone 15

Apple has launched the iPhone 17 series and, as expected, the company has discontinued the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. Soon after the launch event, both models were removed from Apple’s online store.

This is not new. Apple always removes older models when new ones arrive. The iPhone 15 series was launched in September 2023. It was the first iPhone to come with a USB-C port. It also introduced a 48MP main camera with 2x telephoto and brought the Dynamic Island feature to regular iPhones, not just the Pro models.

Apple has also reduced the price of the iPhone 16 lineup, making it more affordable for buyers.

If you still want the iPhone 15, it is available from sellers like Flipkart, Amazon, and Croma. During the upcoming Big Billion Days 2025 sale and the Great Indian Festival, you may even get it at a heavy discount. Stocks will last only until existing units are sold.

Even though Apple has stopped selling the iPhone 15 from its store, the phone will continue to receive iOS updates and security patches for years. So, it will remain a safe option for anyone buying it now.
