Sony has announced its latest and most powerful gaming console PlayStation 5 Pro. This is said to be the updated model of PlayStation 5 that was announced back in 2020. PlayStation 5 Pro or PS5 Pro aims to provide improved graphics performance.
The updated PlayStation 5 Pro has the same height and weight but offers better performance. It comes with a wireless DualSense controller. The storage has been upgraded to 2TB and It will also have a copy of Astro’s Playroom preinstalled.
PlayStation 5 Pro comes the an upgraded GPU that has 67% more compute units and 28% faster memory. It boasts 45% faster game rendering as compared to PlayStation 5. The upgraded GPU will also provide a better ray-tracing experience. It could be up to three times as fast as on PS5.
Sony also unveiled the new PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology for upscaling and anti-aliasing features.
It also includes a game boost tool that will improve the performance of more than 8,500 backward-compatible PS4 games. It will also boost existing PS5 games on PS5. The company has also added an Enhanced Image Quality tool to prove the resolution of certain PS4 games.
The gaming console includes Wi-Fi 7 for better wireless connectivity. It also supports 8K resolutions and a variable refresh rate.
It is also compatible with current PS5 accessories including DualSense Edge, Access controller, PlayStation VR2, PlayStation Portal, Pulse Elite, and Pulse Explore.
PS5 Pro is priced at $699 and will be available starting November 7. Pre-orders start on September 26.
