Realme is testing dedicated camera control button similar to iPhone 16

Realme Camera Control button

The dedicated Camera Control button is one of the most notable features of the iPhone 16 series. This is a pressure-sensitive button that feels like a physical shutter button and supports several; gestures. It seems Realme has already copied it in one of its upcoming phones.

Chase Xu, Realme’s VP and CMO, teased the camera button in a recent video posted on Weibo. The button launches the camera instantly and can provide various controls. He confirmed that the button uses the same technology as in Apple’s Camera Control button and the device shown in the video isn’t Realme’s upcoming flagship Realme GT7 Pro.

Realme uses a solid-state pressure-sensitive button that lets users autofocus with a light press, capture the photo or video with a harder press, zombie in by sliding from left to right, and zoom out by sliding from right to left.

Realme has a long history of adopting the iPhone’s features. After Apple introduced Dynamic Island, Realme added it to several Realme Phones by calling it Mini Capsule. Mini Capsule is now available even on several budget phones.
