Instagram has rolled out a highly anticipated feature that promises to improve the messaging experience even better. Users no longer need to delete the entire message and retype it if there’s a typo or an error in it. Users can now edit messages within a 15-minute window after sending them. So, they can fix typos and unintended errors in conversations.
To edit a message, simply tap and hold on the message. A context menu will appear, providing you with the option to edit. Tap the edit and it will then allow you to edit the message.
Now make the necessary changes to your message and resend.
Users have been asking for message-editing feature for a long time. But users needed to unsend a message and retype it if there was a type in it. Now that they have the option to edit messages, they can fix their typos quickly. As I already mentioned, users can edit messages only within 15 minutes of sending them.
This new update marks a positive step in enhancing the platform’s direct communication capabilities. Users no longer need to worry about the consequences of typos. It contributes to a more relaxed and enjoyable messaging experience.
