Huawei introduces MatePad paper with E-Ink Display and M-Pencil Support

At Mobile World Congress 2022, Huawei also launched its first e-reader Huawei MatePad Paper. The device is also compatible with Huawei M-Pencil.

Huawei MatePad Paper features a 0.3-inch (1,872 x 1,404 pixels) E-ink display with 227 PPI pixel density and 86.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. It packs a Hexa-core processor with 4GB RAM. The device also has 64GB of internal storage.

MatePad Paper runs HarmonyOS 2.0 out of the box. There’s a built-in Huawei Books store offering access to 2 million ebooks. You can also downlaod additional apps from Huawei App Gallery. It also comes with HiSuite, a file manager for Android for synchronization of data from a PC or laptop.

It offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, BLE, Bluetooth v5.2, OTG, and USB 2.0 Type-C connectivity. Other sensors include the gravity sensor, hall sensor, and fingerprint sensor. There is a dual speakers setup and four microphones for audio recording.

Huawei promises a week of stand-by time on a fully charged battery.

Huawei MatePad Paper is priced at €499 that also includes M-Pencil (2nd gen) stylus and a folio cover in the bundle.
