Xiaomi and The Mobile Store partnered to sell Mi phones offline

Xiaomi has reportedly partnered with The Mobile Store to sell its smartphone in country. Initially, Xiaomi was selling its smartphones exclusively via Flipkart. Now, it wants to break its online-only sales strategy.

Economics Times reported that limited numbers of Xiaomi Mi 4 and Redmi Note 4G will be available via 55 different stores of The Mobile Store across Delhi NCR. These smartphones will be sold for the same prices as in online store Flipkart. Xiaomi Mi 4 will be available for Rs. 19,999 and Redmi Note 4G will be available for Rs. 9999.

“This will be the first time that we’re getting into offline trade in India,” said Manu Jain, head of India operations at Xiaomi. “In China, about 20-30% of total sales through come from telecom operators stores while the rest comes from our online store – Mi.com,” he added.

Xiaomi is expecting that the offline route to be successful for the company. It is goes as per the expectations, company will think of expanding it to other offline stores. Company is also working to expand its mi.com as an ecommerce website to sell its smartphones and other products in country.

Its association with Flipkart will remain same and Xiaomi smartphones will be available via Flash sales on Flipkart.
