Xiaomi announced Mi Bluetooth Speaker for the Indian market at the launch of Redmi Note 3. This Bluetooth speaker has been priced at Rs. 1999. At this price, it will directly compete with other Bluetooth speakers available in the market in same price segment. We tested this and found it good. Mi Bluetooth Speaker Review
Design
Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth speaker looks good. It has the sleek design with the beautiful aluminum body. At this price, you wouldn’t expect this kind of metal construction.
It seems heavy, but the weight is just 270 grams. Dimensions of the speaker are 168×24.5x58mm. We reviewed the gold variant, but it will also be available in few other colors.
On the left side, it has a microUSB port, microphone, and a 3.5 mm AUX-in port. Use AUX-in to connect directly it with the laptop or other devices if you do not want to use Bluetooth pairing.
On the right side, it has a power/play button, Volume Up/Next button, Volume Down/Previous button and battery/Bluetooth button.
You can easily hold it in your hands.
You also get a cotton made protective cover along with this Bluetooth speaker.

Audio Quality
It offers loud and clear sound. If you are planning to have a small party at home, this speaker will not disappoint. You can also feel base effect which no one expects from portable Bluetooth speakers. Even on full volume, sound does not distort. On low-battery, it plays low-battery notification, but audio quality remains the same.
On full volume, it vibrates a lot and hence putting it on the table sometimes creates trouble. But audio quality remains clear.
With the built-in mic, it also allows you to receive calls and reply directly via the speaker. To receive calls, you need to press the play button and then reply to call. I tested it with few calls and quality of sound what another person can listen was good.
Battery
It is packed with a 1500 mAh battery which takes more than 2 and half hours in fully charging. You will get around 5 hours of continuous music playback. if you listen to music on low volume, you will see better battery backup.

My Verdict
At this price, it is one of the best portable speakers available in the market. Its beautiful metal construction is something that attracts me a lot. Sound quality is good, and it is loud enough to enjoy music even in outdoor conditions. Value for money device.
