Transcend High Endurance microSD 32 GB Review

Transcend High Endurance microSD 32 GB is priced at Rs. 2599. If you think it is high, you should read why this is priced high. And we have added the link to buy 16 GB card as we didn’t get the 32 GB card’s online purchase link.

In terms of design, it similar to other microSD cards. It is available in two colors: Black and Silver. I got this silver color variant which looks good. The company also offers a card adapter. So, you can easily use it with cameras and other devices which allow only large SD card.

Technical Things

Transcend High Endurance microSD is perfect for video recording devices, IP cameras and surveillance devices. This microSD card is designed to work in any kind of environment and can withstand constant exposure to sunlight and rain, heat and cold. It is temperature proof, waterproof, dustproof and shockproof. Along with all these features and with class 10 speed rating, it provides impressive transfer rates of up to 21MB per second.

Another good thing is its built-in Error Correction Code (ECC) for extra protection. It helps to detect and correct potential transfer errors. So, it can effectively prevent data loss or corruption.

The company claims that Transcend High Endurance microSD offers up to 21MBPS transfer speed. This claim was found to be true in benchmarking tests.

I tested this card in my DSLR which I generally use to shoot videos for my YouTube channel. There was no issue.

For random 4KB read and writes, it managed only 5.7MB/s and 1.3MB/s respectively. This not good and hence you will not get good experience on phone or tablet. But you should not forget that it has been specially designed for dash cams, security cameras and similar kind of devices.

Other things

Transcend microSDHC/SDXC cards come with an exclusive recovery software RecoveRx. It can easily recover any type of digital files including photos, documents, music, and videos. You can even recover data after formatting the card. Download it for free from Transcend’s website.

The only thing which I didn’t like is the warranty. It is covered under 2 years warranty while Transcend itself offers the lifetime warranty on its range of microSD cards. But, you should not that other rivals offering High Endurance cards also offer 2 years warranty on their cards.

Final Words

If you own a video recording device, IP camera or something similar which needs durable SD card, you should try this. Overall performance is fine. Although it comes with 2 years warranty, it will perform longer. It offers error correction, durability, waterproof and temperature proof body and shock resistance. While this is a feature-rich, price is also high.

Based on different factors including features, usability, and pricing, we are giving it silver award.
