Infocus Snap 4 is a notable smartphone for its two dual camera setups. This phone has dual camera setup at the front and at the back as well. This the only smartphone in Indian market that offers 2 dual camera setups at such low price. So, I tested this phone to know if its cameras are worth and how well this phone performs. After using this device for over 10 days, here is my review of Infocus Snap 4.
Infocus Snap 4 Review
Infocus Snap 4 comes with the sleek metallic body to look fabulous. It feels premium and its build quality is also good. Slight curves at the back of edges offer good grip. As the phone has a 5.2-inch display, its size is well to fit in hands. So, you can easily perform tasks from a single hand.
It has dual camera setup above the display and three capacitive non-backlit keys are below the display. Power button along with Hybrid sim slot is located at right and volume rocker is on the left. The top side has audio port and secondary microphone. The base side has the speaker, micro USB, and primary mic. The silver line around the edges looks attractive.
The rear panel has dual camera setup and LED flash at top left side. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel and there is a silver line around fingerprint sensor to look attractive. The overall design and build of this phone is good.
The phone has 5.2-inch 720p 2.5D curved glass display. While you may expect 1080p display at this price, Snap 4’s display will not disappoint. It offers a bright display with good color reproduction and nice viewing angles. It even performs well in outdoors.
Infocus Snap 4 comes with Android 7.0 with a custom UI on the top. This custom UI is light and comes with a customized look and feel. There are few bloatwares as well. I didn’t find many features but I am happy that there is no negative effect of this UI in performance. In my usage, I didn’t face any major lag. I am not sure if this UI will perform same after few months of usage, but it is good for now.
The phone packs 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT5750N processor with 4GB RAM. It offers nice performance and smooth multitasking. Not just day to day tasks, but it also handles heavy apps without any issue. I heavily used this phone by running several apps in the background at the same time and found this pretty good.
It also handles gaming well. I played several high-end games including Asphalt, NOVA, Modern Combat, NFS No Limits and more. Except for minor lags, overall gaming experience was good.
The phone comes with 64 GB of storage that is sufficient. You can also expand the storage and even use OTG storage.
The camera is the most notable thing about this phone due to the presence of 2 dual camera setups. It has 13 MP rear camera with 80-degree wide angle lens and secondary 8 MP rear camera with 120-degree wide angle lens. It also has 2 8 MP front camera sensors. The camera app is minimal and offers few modes. I missed the Pro mode because I prefer that while capturing shots. The shutter speed is fine but it becomes slow in low-light.
I captured several shots and the daylight performance was fine. But I was not happy with color reproduction. The colors were brighter than they were in reality. Sometimes it improves the photo but sometimes it also ruins the experience. You can capture normal shots or wide-angle shots to capture the larger area. The performance in indoor and low-light is average.
The front camera performance is also fine. You have options for normal selfies, portrait selfies, and wide-angle selfies. All these kind of selfies lack detail and colors are mostly dull. You can clearly feel the difference of colors in normal and wide angle selfies.
It can also record time-lapse videos from the front camera. This is another notable thing if you are interested in this feature.

So, don’t become overexcited to know that the phone has 4 cameras. It is not up to the mark. It could be better and the company can think of pushing a software update to improve the image processing and fix the color issues.
The phone’s fingerprint scanner is accurate but its transition from unlocking to opening the home screen is slow. The phone offers 4G VoLTE and works well with Jio. Its sound quality is also good and music experience is fine. Other connectivity options work well.
The phone has 3000 mAh battery that is good and offers a full day usage easily. The only issue is the lack of fast charging. So, it takes over 2 hours in fully charging this phone.
Final Words
This phone is known for its 4 cameras where it has 2 at the front and 2 at the back. But this is the only thing that didn’t work well. It ticks all other boxes including Build, design, display, performance, gaming, and battery with high ratings. The camera could be better and I am hopeful to receive a software update to fix that. For Rs. 12000, this phone is worth to consider for its premium build and performance.
