How to earn Paytm Gold Coins on your daily payments

Paytm earn digital gold

Paytm has introduced a new reward system called Gold Coins. It lets you earn small amounts of digital gold every time you make an eligible payment on the app. The idea is simple. You use Paytm for your regular payments, and you get a few gold coins in return. Over time, you can convert these coins into digital gold.

Here is a guide to help you understand how it works and how you can earn and redeem these coins.

How to earn Gold Coins on Paytm

You earn coins automatically on eligible payments. This includes UPI payments, QR Scan & Pay, Money transfers, Recharges and bill payments, Credit card and debit card payments, Net banking payments, Shopping and online purchases made through Paytm. You do not need to activate anything. If you are above 18 and a registered Paytm user, you are already enrolled.

How to check and redeem your Gold Coins

Every time you make a payment, Paytm will show a scratch card. Scratch it to see how many gold coins you earned.

To check or convert your coins:

  1. Open the Paytm app
  2. Scroll down to find the Gold Coins section
  3. Check your total gold coin balance
  4. Tap Convert to Real Gold
  5. The coins will convert into digital gold instantly

You can check your digital gold balance anytime under Paytm Gold or Balance & History.

How much gold can you earn on Paytm

Paytm gives gold coins based on how much you spend:

The value of gold coins is fixed:

This means:

You will not collect large amounts of gold unless you spend a lot of money, but it is still a small bonus on top of your daily payments.

To avoid misuse of the feature, the company has also added some conditions. Users can earn a maximum of 6,000 gold coins per day and 60,000 per month. On person-to-person transfers, users can earn gold coins only on ten transactions per day and one hundred transactions per month. Gold coins also expire after twelve months, so users need to redeem them on time.

It is already clear that you are not going to earn a meaningful amount of digital gold unless you spend massive amounts. Most people will simply collect a small balance over time and redeem it once it reaches the minimum level. Still, it is better than getting nothing. If you use Paytm daily for UPI, recharges, and bill payments, you might as well take the extra gold.
