Microsoft has announced the next wave of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass, and December is goint to be a busy month for subscribers. The lineup mixes big action games, new indie releases, and day-one launches, giving players plenty of variety across cloud, PC, handheld, and Xbox consoles.

The highlight for many fans is Mortal Kombat 1, which arrives on December 10. The latest entry in the long-running fighting series brings a full reboot, sharper visuals, and a strong single-player campaign. Adding it to Game Pass will likely pull in a big crowd, especially during the holiday break.

Another major addition is Routine, a sci-fi horror game that has been in development for more than a decade. It drops straight into Game Pass on December 4 as a day-one release. The same treatment goes to Death Howl, a Soulslike deck-builder arriving on December 9. These day-one launches show that Microsoft is still betting big on indie developers and fresh ideas.

The new month also strengthens the Game Pass Premium tier. Subscribers get Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, 33 Immortals, Spray Paint Simulator, and Monster Train 2. Meanwhile, Game Pass Essential members receive Stellaris, World War Z: Aftermath, and Medieval Dynasty starting December 3.

Here is how the updated rollout looks:

  • Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Available today
  • Marvel Cosmic Invasion – December 1
  • Routine – December 4
  • A Game About Digging A Hole – December 9
  • Death Howl – December 9
  • Dome Keeper – December 9
  • Mortal Kombat 1 – December 10
  • Bratz: Rhythm & Style – December 11

Not all games stay forever, though. Microsoft confirmed that five titles will leave Game Pass this month. Mortal Kombat 11, Still Wakes the Deep, and Wildfrost leave on December 15, while Carrion and Hell Let Loose will be removed on December 31. Players who want to finish these games have limited time left.

The timing also lines up with The Game Awards 2025 on December 11, where Xbox usually makes new announcements. So we may see more Game Pass reveals later this month.
