vivo has launched its latest foldable smartphone, the vivo X Fold6, in India. The new foldable flagship comes with dual 120Hz LTPO AMOLED displays, a 200MP ZEISS camera, MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset and a 6,900mAh battery.
The vivo X Fold6 has an 8.02-inch 2K+ AMOLED LTPO display on the inside with a resolution of 2504 x 2312 pixels. The inner display supports a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and up to 5,000 nits of local peak brightness. It uses UTG glass for protection.
The outer display is a 6.51-inch FHD+ AMOLED LTPO panel with a 2528 x 1120-pixel resolution. It also supports a 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and up to 5,000 nits of brightness.
The foldable is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, which is based on a 3nm process. It is paired with an Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU, 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The phone runs OriginOS 7 Fold based on Android 17. vivo has added several features to take advantage of the large foldable display. Origin Workbench and Multi-Split Screen allow users to run a main task alongside up to four supporting apps. Users can also resize the windows based on their needs.
The AI Cross-App Drag feature allows users to move text and media directly between compatible apps. For example, text extracted from an image can be moved to a translation app without manually copying it.
The phone also supports a desktop mode with an external display, keyboard, and mouse. The vivo Office Kit provides PC integration, while Jovi offers additional system assistance. Other AI features include AI Recorder for transcription and summaries, AI Captions for real-time subtitles, Smart Call Assistant, AI File Manager, and AI Reader Mode that can convert PDFs into an eBook-style reading format.
The vivo X Fold6 features a triple rear camera setup developed with ZEISS. The primary camera is a 200MP sensor with an f/1.68 aperture, OIS, and ZEISS T* coating.
The phone also has a 50MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.05 aperture and 15mm focal length. It is paired with a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera using a Sony LYT602 sensor with an f/2.57 aperture and ZEISS optics. The telephoto camera supports up to 100x digital zoom and Telephoto Macro photography.
The camera system is supported by vivo’s V3+ imaging chip and includes features such as Motion Portrait 2.0 and Night Flash Portrait. The phone can record 4K video at 60fps with Dolby Vision.
vivo has also added features specifically designed for the foldable form factor. These include a Cover Screen Teleprompter and Split-Screen Preview, which can be useful while recording videos or taking photos.
There is a 20MP camera on both the inner and outer displays for selfies and video calls.
The vivo X Fold6 supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual-band GPS, NavIC, and other satellite navigation systems. It also features a dedicated communication chipset that is designed to improve switching between cellular and Wi-Fi networks.
The vivo X Fold6 packs a 6,900mAh battery. It uses fifth-generation silicon anode technology and third-generation semi-solid-state battery chemistry. The phone supports 80W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless FlashCharge. It also supports reverse wireless charging.
Despite the large battery, the phone measures just 4.4mm when unfolded and 9.4mm when folded. The Black variant weighs 228 grams, while the Blue variant weighs 235 grams. The vivo X Fold6 also focuses on durability. It comes with IP58, IP59, IPX8, and IPX9 ratings for dust and water resistance.
vivo X Fold6 price and availability in India
The vivo X Fold6 is priced at Rs. 2,19,999 in India for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. It comes in Nebula Teal and Prism Black color options.
Pre-bookings for the foldable are now open. The vivo X Fold6 will go on sale in India from October 13 through the vivo India e-store, Amazon, Flipkart, and partner retail stores.
vivo is offering several launch offers with the new foldable. Offline buyers can get up to 30-month zero-down-payment or no-cost EMI options, instant bank cashback of up to Rs. 26,400, or up to a 12% exchange bonus through the vivo V-Upgrade program.
Online buyers can get similar cashback benefits, up to a 10% exchange bonus, and up to 24-month no-cost EMI options.
The launch benefits also include three months of Google AI Pro at no extra cost and up to 40% off on V-Shield damage protection plans. vivo will also offer a 50% discount on select annual JioHotstar plans at a later date.
Customers who purchase the vivo X Fold6 between October 6, 2026, and January 5, 2027, will also get priority walk-in access to experience the vivo Vision Discovery Edition mixed-reality headset at 15 selected stores across 10 cities.
