Beats has launched a special Pokémon edition of its Beats Pill portable Bluetooth speaker. The new edition features Pikachu and Mimikyu, along with Pokémon-themed accessories and special packaging. The speaker retains the same design and features as the standard Beats Pill, with cosmetic changes to give it a distinct look.
Called the Pokémon x Beats Pill, the special edition speaker comes in grey with Pikachu in its signature yellow colour and Mimikyu in grey printed on the speaker grille. It also comes with a lanyard and several themed charms featuring Pikachu, Mimikyu, the Beats logo, a Poké Ball, and lightning bolts.
Beats has also designed special yellow and grey packaging for the speaker. The box is described as interactive, with images showing Pikachu and Mimikyu’s ears extending beyond the main packaging. However, Beats has not explained how the interactive design works.
Apart from these changes, the Pokémon x Beats Pill retains the same features as the standard Beats Pill. The special edition is priced at $149.99 in the US, the same as the regular colour options. It is listed on the Beats website and will go on sale on October 15 through Apple.com and Target stores in the US.
In the UK, the speaker will be available through Apple’s website and Argos, including select physical stores, for £149.99. In China, it will be sold through Apple.com and Douyin for CNY 1,299.
