Tecno has unveiled the Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition, marking the first smartphone collaboration between Tecno and Italian lifestyle brand Tonino Lamborghini. The new edition keeps the hardware of the Pova 8 Pro 5G but gets a completely redesigned look inspired by Lamborghini’s automotive design language.
The phone comes in a Tonino Lamborghini Black finish with a black-and-red colour scheme. The rear panel uses a hexagonal pattern, which gives it a more aggressive look than the standard Pova 8 Pro 5G.
The centre of the rear panel features a prominent Pulse Line design with an internal mirror structure. The reflective element is designed to catch and reflect light as the phone moves. The Tonino Lamborghini logo sits on the rear in a metallic finish, while the customised L signature also appears on the phone’s Alive Matrix Display.
The Alive Matrix Display is integrated into the rear camera area and can show different animations and information. The Lamborghini edition gets custom elements for this display to match the collaboration.
Despite the detailed rear design, the phone remains relatively slim at 7.39mm and weighs 189 grams.
The Pova 8 Pro 5G Lamborghini Edition features a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with a 2,644 x 1,208-pixel resolution and up to a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel has a 93.18% screen-to-body ratio and a pixel density of 429ppi. Tecno claims up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness, while Corning Gorilla Glass 7i provides protection against scratches and everyday damage.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G chipset with an Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Tecno also supports memory expansion, allowing the RAM to be extended up to 24GB using virtual memory.
The phone runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16. Tecno has confirmed two major Android upgrades and three years of security updates.
The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony LYT-700C sensor and OIS, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 13-megapixel front camera.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo. The phone also has an infrared remote, gyroscope, e-compass, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Edition packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Edition price
Tecno has not yet announced the price or availability of the Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition. The standard Pova 8 Pro 5G was launched in India at ₹49,999, so the Lamborghini edition is expected to carry a premium because of its limited-edition design and branding. Tecno is yet to confirm the final pricing and markets where the new model will be sold.
