Indian game developer SuperGaming is expanding its presence on Roblox with two new games. The studio has announced Prime Heroes, a Roblox-exclusive team hero shooter, while its existing FPS game Showdown is getting its first in-game tournament called the Showdown Cup.
Both games are part of Roblox’s Fall Games Preview, which confirms 10 new games and updates coming to the platform over the next few months.
SuperGaming’s first major update is coming to Showdown in September. The studio is launching the Showdown Cup, its first in-game tournament. The tournament will take place in a new Esports Arena built inside Showdown’s Shibuya-inspired hub. Players will be able to compete for a place on the champions board, while other players can watch the competition inside the game.
Showdown is a first-person shooter that combines gunplay with Jutsu-inspired abilities. SuperGaming says these mechanics are designed to give players more ways to fight and express their skills.
Roby John, co-founder of SuperGaming, said the studio saw an opportunity to bring more variety to competitive shooters on Roblox. The company wants to help create a new generation of FPS esports players from the platform.
The Showdown Cup is scheduled to launch in early September.
SuperGaming is also working on Prime Heroes, a team-based hero shooter built specifically for Roblox. The game is set in SuperGaming’s original Prime universe. Players can choose a hero, pick a side and compete against other teams to capture crown sites.
Prime Heroes will launch with six playable heroes in early access, while SuperGaming says it currently has 16 heroes in development. More heroes are expected to arrive through future seasons.
The studio says Prime Heroes was designed around the way Roblox players compete, form teams and discover new experiences. It also wants to combine Roblox’s accessibility and social features with deeper gameplay and higher visual fidelity.
Early access for Prime Heroes begins in September, with the wider release planned for October.
SuperGaming is not the only developer bringing a more traditional gaming experience to Roblox. Roblox’s Fall Games Preview includes 10 games across several genres, including first-person shooters, racing, RPGs, horror, strategy and multiplayer games.
Some of the other upcoming games include Octane, an open-world racing game focused on realistic driving physics, Starforged, an action RPG with extraction elements and progression systems, and Monster in the Mansion, a cooperative survival horror game for up to eight players. There is also Fossil Force, a dinosaur-focused PvE game, and Caramel, a 2D pixel-art farming game.
The variety shows how Roblox is increasingly being used for games that go beyond its traditional user-generated experiences.
