Xiaomi has confirmed the India launch date for the Redmi 17C 5G. The new budget 5G smartphone will launch on October 1 at 12 PM and will be available through Amazon.in, mi.com, and Xiaomi retail stores.
The Redmi 17C 5G features a large 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a waterdrop notch. It will also offer Wet Touch technology for improved touch response when the display is slightly wet.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset and supports up to 8GB of memory extension. The phone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS and supports Circle to Search. It also gets an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Xiaomi claims up to 105 hours of music playback, while the battery can reach 80% charge in around 90 minutes.
The Redmi 17C 5G gets a 50-megapixel AI dual-camera setup placed inside an Astral Deco camera module. It also supports features such as Portrait Mode, HDR, and Selfie Beauty.
The Redmi 17C 5G has a quad-curved design and will be offered in Coffee Brew, Purple Dawn, and Dark Night colours. Xiaomi has not yet revealed the India price or complete storage configurations. More details are expected at the October 1 launch event.
