Paytm Now Lets Users Buy CaratLane Jewellery Using Digital Gold

Paytm

Paytm has partnered with CaratLane to bring jewellery shopping to its platform, allowing users to use their accumulated Paytm Digital Gold towards CaratLane jewellery purchases.

The partnership covers a range of jewellery categories, including rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bangles and bracelets. Users can choose from CaratLane’s collection across different price points and complete their purchases through Paytm.

If the value of the jewellery is higher than the amount of Digital Gold being used, users can pay the remaining amount through UPI, credit or debit cards, net banking and other available payment options.

This gives Paytm Digital Gold users a way to put their accumulated gold towards a physical jewellery purchase instead of keeping it only as a digital investment.

“Gold has always held a special place in India, and accumulated Paytm Digital Gold can now be used towards CaratLane jewellery, with a wide choice of designs across price points and the flexibility to pay the balance through other payment options,” said Veer Mishra, Vice President, Paytm.

CaratLane Managing Director Saumen Bhaumik said the partnership allows Digital Gold holders to convert their savings into CaratLane jewellery and connects digital gold ownership with physical jewellery.

CaratLane will handle packaging, fulfilment and home delivery for orders across its serviceable pin codes. Paytm will provide order confirmation, tracking and purchase details through its platform.

The partnership brings CaratLane’s jewellery catalogue to Paytm while adding a new way for Paytm Digital Gold holders to spend their accumulated gold.
