Mivi One 5G Is Coming to India With Snapdragon 5G Chip

Mivi One 5G

Mivi is getting ready to enter India’s smartphone market. The Hyderabad-based consumer electronics brand has confirmed that its first smartphone will be called the Mivi One 5G.

The company had started teasing its smartphone debut last month. It has now revealed the name and confirmed that the phone will be sold through Flipkart. A dedicated Flipkart landing page for the device is already live, although Mivi has not announced the launch date yet. The page only says that the phone is “dropping soon.”

As the name suggests, the Mivi One 5G will support 5G connectivity. Mivi has also confirmed that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G chipset, but the exact processor has not been revealed.

The early teaser shows the phone in a green finish with rounded corners. Mivi is promoting it with the “Pretty Powerful” tagline.

The company is expected to reveal more details about the phone, including its processor, display, cameras, battery, RAM and storage, closer to the launch.

Recent reports have suggested that the Mivi One 5G could be priced below Rs. 15,000 in India. Mivi has not confirmed the expected price yet.

The smartphone will be Mivi’s first major move outside its established audio business.

The company already sells products such as wireless earphones, Bluetooth speakers, soundbars and home theatre systems. Its entry into smartphones puts it in a market where several Indian consumer electronics brands are now trying to establish themselves.
