HUAWEI has introduced the Pura X View at its All-Scenario New Product Launch Event in China. The new smartphone follows the Pura X Max launched earlier this year and comes with an unusual wide-screen design aimed at users who want more screen space for productivity, reading, gaming, and media consumption.
The HUAWEI Pura X View features a 6.39-inch OLED display with a 16:9.5 aspect ratio. It has a 2232×1320-pixel resolution and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also offers up to 6,500 nits peak brightness, 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and up to 300Hz touch sampling. The screen is protected by Kunlun Glass and has symmetrical 1.05mm bezels on all four sides.
The phone measures 144.1×87×6.68mm and weighs around 201 grams. Despite the wider body and large battery, HUAWEI has kept the thickness at just 6.68mm. It will be available in Shadow Red, Linen Gray, Zero White, and Phantom Black colour options.
The smartphone is powered by the Kirin 9030S processor and comes with an integrated full-area vapor chamber cooling system. The cooling system is designed to manage heat during longer gaming sessions and other demanding workloads.
The Pura X View comes with 12GB of RAM and is offered with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of internal storage. It runs HarmonyOS 7 out of the box. The new software also introduces an upgraded Huawei Share remote transfer feature that can transfer high-resolution photos, videos, documents, and archives over long distances without requiring the devices to be physically close to each other.
For photography, the Pura X View has a triple rear camera setup led by a 200MP RYYB super-focusing primary camera. The camera uses a 1/1.28-inch sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and supports optical image stabilisation.
The main camera is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view and macro shooting support. There is also a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.6 aperture and OIS. HUAWEI has added AI-based pose recommendations and 3D dynamic photography modes to the camera system. The phone also has a 50MP front camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type-C, and dual-frequency GPS. The phone also supports GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC positioning systems.
The phone is powered by a 7,000mAh silicon-anode battery. It supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. HUAWEI has also equipped the device with a ring-type gain antenna and a four-microphone array.
The HUAWEI Pura X View has IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
In China, the HUAWEI Pura X View starts at 5,999 yuan for the 12GB+256GB model. The 12GB+512GB variant costs 6,999 yuan, while the top-end 12GB+1TB version costs 8,499 yuan.
The HUAWEI Pura X View is now available for pre-order in China and will go on sale from September 9. HUAWEI has not yet announced international availability or pricing.
