The GTA 6 hype is getting another boost, this time with new hardware. Sony has unveiled two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers inspired by Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI.
The new controllers were revealed during the latest State of Play event and come in Black and White editions. Both are designed around the look and feel of Vice City, which returns as one of the key locations in GTA 6.
The GTA VI White Limited Edition DualSense takes inspiration from Vice City during the daytime. It features a white body with pastel accents inspired by the city’s beaches, bright skies and sunsets.
The Black Limited Edition, meanwhile, is designed around Vice City’s nightlife. It has a darker look with neon-inspired details that give it a more aggressive appearance.
Both controllers feature a shimmering, colour-shifting finish. Sony says the design combines the colours of a Vice City sunset with the glow of its neon lights. Palm tree details are also moulded directly into the controller, while GTA 6 branding is placed across the design.
These are still regular DualSense controllers underneath the custom design. They feature the same haptic feedback and adaptive triggers found on the standard PS5 controller. Sony says these features will respond dynamically to events in GTA 6, adding different sensations and trigger resistance during gameplay.
GTA 6 DualSense price and release date
Pre-orders for both limited-edition DualSense controllers will open on September 10 at 10:00 AM local time in most regions. In the US, PlayStation Direct pre-orders will begin at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET.
The controllers will launch on November 19, the same day GTA 6 is scheduled to release.

Sony has not announced an India price yet.
Sony is not planning to make these controllers widely available. Both editions will be sold in limited quantities.
The White Limited Edition will be available through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers worldwide. The Black Limited Edition will have a more restricted release and will be sold exclusively through PlayStation Direct in supported markets.
This could make the controllers difficult to find once pre-orders open, especially given the current excitement around GTA 6. Sony and Rockstar have already been pushing the PS5 version heavily, and demand for GTA 6-related hardware has been growing.
Rockstar has also confirmed that GTA 6 will receive PS5 Pro-specific enhancements, although the company has not yet detailed exactly what those improvements will be.
