EA Sports FC 27 has had a strong start on PC, with the new football game quickly building a large concurrent player base on Steam. The game was released on September 25, and the early numbers already give us an idea of how much activity it is generating just days after launch.
According to player data collected by Techlomedia Gaming, EA Sports FC 27 reached a peak of 91,542 concurrent players on Steam on September 25, just a few hours before we published this article. More than 84,000 players were still playing the game simultaneously when we checked the latest figures. The current peak is also the game’s 24-hour and all-time Steam peak.
The Steam figure only represents players using Valve’s platform, so it does not show the total number of people playing FC 27. The game is also available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The actual player base across all platforms will therefore be considerably higher than the Steam numbers.
The game is also seeing strong interest from viewers on Twitch. According to data tracked by Techlomedia Gaming, FC 27 had more than 102,000 active viewers at the time of checking, while its 24-hour peak stood at 182,146 viewers. The game’s all-time Twitch peak is currently 308,800 viewers, showing that interest in the game extends beyond people actively playing it.
There is also an interesting comparison with EA Sports FC 26. The previous game eventually reached a peak of 160,728 concurrent players on Steam. However, that figure was recorded in July 2026, several months after its release. FC 27 is only two days old, so comparing the two peaks directly would not tell us much about their respective launches.
What is more useful right now is watching how FC 27’s player count develops from here. The launch period can bring a large initial wave of players, while later updates, promotions and new content can cause the numbers to rise again. FC 27 has already crossed the 90,000 mark on Steam, which gives it a substantial early PC audience to build on.
Techlomedia Gaming will continue tracking the game’s player count as more data becomes available. The next few weeks should provide a much clearer picture of how FC 27’s Steam audience develops beyond its initial launch period.
