Microsoft has refreshed its Xbox Free Play Days lineup, giving Xbox players five games to try for free this weekend. The latest batch includes NBA 2K26, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Wax Heads, and Sports Renovations.
The good news is that most of these games are available to all Xbox players without requiring an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Only Sports Renovations needs an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Standard, or Core membership to play during the promotion.
Leading this week’s lineup are Ubisoft’s tactical shooters Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Both games feature large open worlds where players can complete missions solo or team up with up to three friends in online co-op. If you’ve been planning to try either game before buying, this weekend is a good opportunity.
Basketball fans also have something to look forward to. NBA 2K26 is available as part of the promotion, giving players access to the full experience, including career mode and online multiplayer. Unlike the other games, the NBA 2K26 free trial will remain available until August 14, giving players a little more time to check out the latest entry in the series.
For players looking for something different, Wax Heads offers a narrative-driven experience set inside a struggling record store. You play as a store employee helping customers discover music while interacting with a cast of unusual characters. It is a smaller game compared to the others on the list but could be worth trying if you enjoy story-focused indie titles.
The fifth title is Sports Renovations, a simulation game where players restore old sports facilities, including gyms, basketball courts, and playgrounds. This is the only game in this week’s lineup that requires a Game Pass membership.

It is also worth noting that several of these games are currently available at discounted prices on the Xbox Store. So, if you enjoy any of them during the free weekend, you can grab them at a lower price before the offers end.
