The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is now available on Nintendo Switch 2. Bethesda has released a new launch trailer alongside the release to give players a look at the remastered RPG running on Nintendo’s latest console.
The remaster brings the world of Cyrodiil to Switch 2 with updated visuals while retaining the open-world role-playing experience of the original Oblivion. Players can follow the main quest or spend their time exploring the world, completing side quests and discovering locations away from the main storyline.
The Switch 2 release includes the game’s additional content. This covers Knights of the Nine and The Shivering Isles, giving players access to the major expansions as part of the complete experience.
The Shivering Isles is particularly notable as it takes players outside Cyrodiil and into the realm of Sheogorath, while Knights of the Nine adds a separate questline and new content to the main game.
The remaster has already been available on other platforms, where it received generally positive reviews. It has also received updates since launch to address issues reported by players.
With the Switch 2 version, Nintendo players can now experience the remastered RPG in both docked and handheld modes. For players who missed the original game, it offers a modern way to explore one of Bethesda’s most well-known Elder Scrolls titles.
