Samsung has announced its next Galaxy Event for August 27. The company has not confirmed which devices will be unveiled, but the Galaxy S26 FE is widely expected to make its debut at the event.
The event will take place at 9:00 p.m. KST, or 5:30 p.m. IST, and will be streamed live on Samsung.com and Samsung’s official YouTube channel.
The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to become the more affordable member of the Galaxy S26 family. Leaked press renders and specifications have already revealed most of the phone’s hardware ahead of the launch.
According to the leaks, the Galaxy S26 FE will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,900 nits of peak brightness. The phone is expected to use Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset with an Xclipse 950 GPU.
The device could come with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. It is also expected to run Android 17 with Samsung’s One UI 9.
The rear camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 123-degree field of view, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom. A 12-megapixel camera is expected on the front.
The phone could pack a 4,900mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Wireless PowerShare is also expected.
Samsung is reportedly keeping several premium features on the FE model. These include an IP68 rating, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint sensor and NFC. The phone is expected to be 7.4mm thick and weigh 193 grams.
The Galaxy S26 FE is also expected to get Samsung’s latest Galaxy AI features. These could include AI-powered tools for photography, editing, productivity and communication.
However, Samsung has not yet confirmed which Galaxy AI features will be available on the FE model. The company is expected to provide more details during the launch event.
