Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max in China. The two new flagship smartphones bring Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processors, 185Hz AMOLED displays and batteries of up to 9,070mAh.
The K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max also feature Xiaomi’s new M11 display technology, dedicated graphics processing on the Pro Max, and 100W wired charging with 50W wireless charging.
The Redmi K100 series introduces Xiaomi’s M11 luminescent material, developed in collaboration with Tsinghua University. Xiaomi says the new material improves green sub-pixel efficiency by 20% and overall panel efficiency by 8%.
The K100 Pro has a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate. The K100 Pro Max has a larger 6.9-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, also with a 185Hz refresh rate.
Both displays support 12-bit color, 4,800Hz instant touch sampling, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. They can reach up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
Xiaomi says brightness can reach 10,000 nits in a 1% window. The displays also cover 90% of the BT.2020 color gamut at the hardware level. Full end-to-end BT.2020 color management will be enabled through a software update planned for mid-to-late November.
The phones use a Real RGB pixel arrangement with separate red, green and blue sub-pixels for each pixel. Xiaomi has also added DC dimming, circularly polarized light 2.0 and a minimum brightness of 1 nit.
Both phones use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, although the K100 Pro uses a V Series version of the chip. They come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
The K100 Pro Max also gets Xiaomi’s D2 graphics chip for additional display and gaming processing. Both phones use the company’s Rage Engine for gaming performance. Xiaomi says the Pro Max can run CrossFire: Mobile at more than 185fps in an ultra-high-definition mode. It also supports native 185fps gaming across more than 30 titles.
For cooling, the K100 Pro has a 5,150mm² ice-cooling pump system, while the K100 Pro Max increases the cooling area to 6,300mm². Both phones also use Xiaomi’s Surge T1+ chip to improve signal reception.
The Redmi K100 Pro features a 200-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch Samsung S5KHP5 sensor. It has an f/1.68 aperture and supports OIS and EIS.
The main camera is joined by an 8-megapixel 112-degree ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel 2.5x periscope telephoto camera. The telephoto camera supports 10cm telemacro photography and OIS. The phone can record up to 8K video.
The K100 Pro Max also has a 200-megapixel primary camera with the same S5KHP5 sensor. However, it gets a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto camera with OIS.
Both phones have a 32-megapixel front camera capable of recording 4K video.
The Redmi K100 Pro packs an 8,580mAh battery, while the K100 Pro Max gets a larger 9,070mAh battery. Both phones support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. They also support 22.5W reverse charging and bypass charging. The battery system uses Xiaomi’s Surge P3 fast charging chip and Surge G2 battery management chip.
The K100 Pro comes with dual 1115F speakers, while the Pro Max gets dual 1115D master-grade speakers and a dedicated 1620 subwoofer. The audio system on both models has been tuned in partnership with Bose. The Pro Max also features an RGB floating light ring around its subwoofer. The light provides visual effects for music and notifications.
Both smartphones have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
The K100 Pro measures 157.49 x 75.25 x 8.55mm and weighs 218 grams. The K100 Pro Max is slightly thinner at 8.45mm but weighs 238 grams because of its larger display and battery.
Both phones run Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and support 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC.
Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max price in China
The Redmi K100 Pro starts at 3,999 yuan for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The 16GB + 512GB model is priced at 4,999 yuan. The Redmi K100 Pro Max starts at 4,499 yuan for the 12GB + 256GB variant and goes up to 5,999 yuan for the 16GB + 1TB model.

The Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max are now available in China. Xiaomi has not announced details about an international launch.
