realme has launched the C100i in India as its latest budget 4G smartphone in the C series. The phone focuses on a large 120Hz display, a high-capacity battery and a durable build, while keeping the hardware relatively modest.
The realme C100i features a 6.8-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1570-pixel resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers up to 700 nits of typical brightness, with up to 900 nits in HBM mode.
The high refresh rate should make scrolling and basic animations feel smoother than a conventional 60Hz display. However, the 720p resolution on such a large panel means the display will not be particularly sharp, especially when compared with phones in this price range that offer Full HD+ panels. The screen is protected by Panda@MN228 glass.
The phone has rounded corners and a Horizon Camera Deco on the back. It also carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.
realme says the phone uses ArmorShell Protection and has passed military-grade drop and compression tests under the MIL-STD-810H standard. The company specifically highlights its ability to survive a 2-metre drop. It is 8.7mm thick and weighs 210 grams.
The smartphone is powered by the 1.8GHz octa-core Unisoc T7250 processor, built on a 12nm process. It is paired with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
realme also supports up to 12GB of virtual RAM. Storage can be expanded significantly through the dedicated microSD slot, with support for cards of up to 2TB.
The C100i runs Android 16 with realme UI 6.0. The software brings realme’s latest interface and features to the phone.
The device has an 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. A 5-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture handles selfies and video calls.
Other hardware includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack and an ultra-linear bottom-firing speaker. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and USB Type-C.
The realme C100i packs a 6,500mAh battery, which is considerably larger than what is common in many smartphones in this segment. It supports 15W fast charging. The phone also supports reverse wired charging.

The realme C100i is priced at Rs. 14,999 in India for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. It is offered in Skyline Silver and Midnight Black. The phone is currently available through realme.com, with sales through other online retailers and selected offline stores expected soon.
