Tecno has officially confirmed that the Camon 50 Ultra 5G will launch in India on July 17. The company has also started teasing the smartphone, highlighting its AI features, camera capabilities, and premium design.
The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G will launch at 12 PM IST on July 17. It will be available for purchase via Amazon after the launch. An Amazon microsite is already live, confirming the handset’s arrival.
The smartphone will come in three colour options: Cypress Green, Misty Purple, and Nebula Titanium. It features a flat frame with rounded corners and a vertically placed rear camera module. The camera island houses three large camera sensors, an additional sensor, an LED flash, and a red accent.
Tecno says the Camon 50 Ultra 5G will offer several AI-powered features focused on photography and content creation. These include AI tools for improving images and removing unwanted objects from photos. The company also claims the phone combines a slim design with a durable build and a battery that can easily last a full day.
The Camon 50 Ultra 5G was first showcased globally at MWC 2026 in Barcelona as the flagship model in the Camon 50 series. The global variant of the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 4,500 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and runs Android 16 with HiOS 16.
It comes with a 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. It also has a 13MP front camera and supports 4K video recording at up to 30fps.
Other features on the global model include IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, MIL-STD-810 certification, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, and a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
Tecno has not yet confirmed whether the Indian variant will carry the same specifications, but it is expected to be similar to the global model.
Tecno will reveal the India pricing and complete availability details during the launch event on July 17.
