Xiaomi has announced the REDMI Note 17 in China alongside the REDMI Note 17 Pro. The smartphone features a large 7-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, and an 8000mAh battery.
The REDMI Note 17 comes with a 7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It offers up to 1800 nits peak brightness, DCI-P3 color gamut, a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The display also supports glove mode for easier use while wearing gloves.
The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 4nm processor with Adreno 613 GPU. It comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Users can also expand storage using a microSD card.
The REDMI Note 17 runs Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3. REDMI Note 17 is its built-in AI security features. The phone includes an AI-powered anti-fraud system that can identify and block scam calls. It can also detect AI-generated deepfake video calls in real time and warn users.
Xiaomi has also added bank card anti-theft protection with multiple security layers. The phone supports remote assistance features such as virus scanning, system optimization, and app removal. Users can also share their real-time location with family members for added safety.
The phone features a 50MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera. Both cameras support up to 1080p video recording.
Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, an infrared sensor, USB Type-C, and IP65 dust and splash resistance.
The device packs a large 8000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing it to charge other devices.

The REDMI Note 17 comes in Black, Light Aquamarine, and Meteor Purple colors.

- 8GB + 128GB: 1,399 yuan
- 8GB + 256GB: 1,599 yuan
