Xiaomi has increased the prices of the Redmi A7 4G and Redmi A7 Pro 4G in India once again. Both smartphones have received a Rs. 1,000 price hike, taking the total increase to Rs. 2,000 since their launch.
The latest price revision comes amid rising RAM and component costs, which have affected several budget smartphones in recent months.
The Redmi A7 4G was launched in India at Rs. 10,499 for the 3GB + 64GB variant. After an earlier price increase to Rs. 11,499, the phone now costs Rs. 12,499.
The Redmi A7 Pro 4G was introduced at Rs. 11,499 for the 4GB + 64GB model. It first went up to Rs. 12,499 and has now received another Rs. 1,000 hike. The phone is now priced at Rs. 13,499.
Both smartphones feature a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and are powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor. These phones come with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The Redmi A7 packs a 5,200mAh battery, while the Redmi A7 Pro features a larger 6,300mAh battery.
One of the key highlights of the Redmi A7 Pro is its software support. Xiaomi has promised four years of Android OS updates for the device.
