NBA 2K27

2K and Visual Concepts have officially announced NBA 2K27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The latest entry in the long-running basketball franchise will launch worldwide on September 4, 2026, while players who purchase the Deluxe or Ultra Edition will get up to one week of early access starting August 28.

Alongside the announcement, 2K also revealed this year’s cover athletes and details about the different game editions.

Victor Wembanyama, the San Antonio Spurs star and the NBA’s first unanimous Defensive Player of the Year, will appear on the Standard Edition cover. WNBA star Caitlin Clark headlines the Deluxe Edition, while NBA legend Derrick Rose is featured on the Ultra Edition.

NBA 2K27 Editions and Prices

The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

The Deluxe Edition costs $99.99 and includes 100,000 Virtual Currency (VC), bonus content for MyCAREER and MyTEAM, along with early access beginning August 28.

The Ultra Edition is priced at $149.99. It includes everything offered in the Deluxe Edition, plus an additional 35,000 VC, a Season 1 Pro Pass, Summer Season Pass bundle, exclusive MyCAREER cosmetics, premium MyTEAM player cards, and early access. What to Expect in NBA 2K27

NBA 2K27 will continue to build on the series’ popular game modes, including MyCAREER, MyTEAM, MyNBA, and The City.

The City returns with social and multiplayer features, which allow players to create their MyPLAYER, join friends, compete in The REC and Park, and progress through online challenges.

MyCAREER once again focuses on building a basketball career from rookie to superstar, while MyTEAM lets players collect NBA and WNBA stars to build their dream squad.

The game will also continue using ProPLAY, the technology that recreates real NBA player movements and animations to make gameplay feel more realistic. According to 2K, NBA 2K27 will introduce improved shooting mechanics and smoother dribbling animations.

While the announcement gives fans their first look at NBA 2K27, 2K has not yet shared gameplay footage. The company has confirmed that the first gameplay trailer will premiere on July 28, which should provide a closer look at gameplay improvements and new features.
