Atari and Digital Eclipse have announced Toy Story: Retro Roundup, a new collection that brings together several classic Toy Story video games for modern platforms. The collection will launch on October 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The collection is aimed at fans who grew up with Toy Story games during the 1990s and early 2000s. It also gives a new generation of players a chance to experience these titles on current gaming hardware.
Toy Story: Retro Roundup includes 11 games in total. The collection features both console and handheld versions of five early Toy Story titles. It also includes A Bug’s Life, another game based on Pixar’s popular animated movie.
According to Atari, all included games have been updated with modern quality-of-life improvements. Players can also access behind-the-scenes content that explores the history and development of these classic releases.
Retro game collections have become increasingly popular in recent years. Companies are bringing back older titles as gamers look for ways to revisit childhood favorites without relying on aging hardware. Digital Eclipse has built a strong reputation in this area with collections that preserve classic games while adding modern features and historical content.
In addition to the digital release, Atari will also offer a physical bundle. The package will include Toy Story: Retro Roundup along with the newly announced Toy Story 3 Complete Edition. The physical edition will be available for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
Pre-orders for the collection are already live.
