Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G in India as its latest mid-range smartphone. The phone targets users who want a large display, long battery life, reliable gaming performance, and extended software support.
The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display offers up to 800 nits High Brightness Mode and 1400 nits peak brightness. It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.
The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 4nm processor paired with the Adreno 710 GPU. It comes with up to 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Users can further expand the storage up to 2TB using a microSD card.
The phone runs Android 16 with Samsung One UI 8.5. Samsung has promised six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, which makes it one of the best software support commitments in this price segment. The device also includes AI features such as Google Gemini integration and Circle to Search.
The Galaxy M47 5G features a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The phone supports 4K video recording and includes Samsung’s Nightography features for improved low-light photography. On the front, there is a 12MP selfie camera.
Other features include Samsung Wallet with Tap & Pay support, Knox Vault security, NFC, stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi ac, and USB Type-C.
The Galaxy M47 5G packs a 6000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Samsung has also included a Bypass Charging feature for gamers. When the phone is connected to a charger during gaming, power is supplied directly to the processor instead of charging the battery. This helps reduce heat and maintain stable gaming performance during long sessions.

The smartphone comes in Rogue Red and Blaze Blue colour options. It will be available from Amazon during the Prime Day Sale starting July 4.
