Motorola has launched the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ in India, expanding its Edge 70 series lineup. The smartphone arrives a few weeks after the launch of the Edge 70 Pro and brings several upgrades.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ features a 6.8-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED display with a resolution of 1272 × 2772 pixels. The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and up to 5,200 nits peak brightness. It also includes Water Touch technology, which improves touch response when the screen is wet.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset. It claims to deliver a 40% improvement in graphics performance over its predecessor. Motorola claims the chipset scores over 2.4 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark platform. The phone includes 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage.

To keep temperatures under control during gaming and heavy workloads, Motorola has included a vapour chamber cooling system with a 4,600 sq mm heat dissipation area.

The smartphone runs Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI on top. The company promises a clean software experience with several customization options and useful productivity features.

Motorola has also included its latest Moto AI features. These AI-powered tools can help users summarize notifications, generate text, organize content, and perform everyday tasks more efficiently. The phone also supports AI-powered camera enhancements that automatically optimize images based on the scene and lighting conditions.

Other AI features include smart search, contextual suggestions, voice-based assistance, and productivity tools designed to improve multitasking. Motorola says Moto AI can understand user habits and provide personalized recommendations across different apps and services.

The phone features a 50-megapixel primary camera with Sony’s LYT-710 sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is accompanied by a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that supports 3x optical zoom, up to 50x digital zoom, and OIS. The third camera is a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor with a 112-degree field of view.

For selfies and video calls, Motorola has added a 50-megapixel front-facing camera with autofocus.

The device supports video recording at up to 4K resolution at 60fps.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo. The phone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.

The phone features a premium design with Pantone-curated colour options. It comes in Pantone Chicory Coffee, Pantone Stormy Sea, and Pantone Zinfandel colors. It also comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-810H military-grade durability certification. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ measures 162.7 × 75.6 × 7.19mm and weighs 190 grams.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ packs a massive 6,500mAh battery. It supports 90W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The smartphone also supports 5W wired and wireless reverse charging, allowing users to charge compatible accessories and other devices.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is priced at Rs. 47,999 for the single 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. This is an introductory launch price, and the company is also offering an instant cashback of Rs. 3,000. Customers can alternatively choose an exchange bonus offer.
