Motorola has launched the moto pad 70 Pro in India after teasing the tablet earlier this week. The new tablet is positioned as a premium Android tablet for users looking for a device that can handle productivity, entertainment, note-taking, and creative work. Along with flagship-level hardware, Motorola is also focusing heavily on AI-powered features that aim to improve productivity.
The moto pad 70 Pro features a 13-inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a 3.5K (3504 × 2190 pixels) resolution. The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming, 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut for vibrant colours, and offers 600 nits of typical brightness that goes up to 800 nits at peak. For entertainment, Motorola has equipped the tablet with a quad-speaker setup tuned by JBL along with Dolby Atmos support, promising an immersive audio experience while watching movies, gaming, or listening to music.
The tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor built on a 4nm process. The octa-core chipset clocks up to 3.2GHz and is paired with the Adreno 825 GPU for graphics performance. Motorola claims the chipset delivers an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 2.5 million, which makes it capable of handling demanding games, multitasking, and professional workloads.
The tablet comes with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and is available in 128GB and 256GB storage variants. The 128GB model uses UFS 3.1 storage, while the 256GB variant gets faster UFS 4.0 storage. Users can also expand the storage using a microSD card.
The moto pad 70 Pro runs Android 16 out of the box and comes bundled with the moto pen Pro at no additional cost. The stylus supports several AI-powered features, including Smart Capture for quickly capturing and organising content, Sketch to Image that converts rough sketches into AI-generated images, AI Super Res for enhancing image quality, and AI Live Transcript for converting speech into text during meetings and lectures.
Motorola has also integrated several AI-powered productivity tools into the software. Smarter Reader can summarise long documents, translate content, and provide contextual explanations to help users understand complex topics. AI Notes helps users organise notes more efficiently, making the tablet useful for students and professionals.
To improve multitasking, the tablet includes Desk Mode, which offers a desktop-like interface with support for multiple windows and WPS Office integration. Motorola’s Smart Connect feature allows users to seamlessly transfer files, share content, and continue tasks across compatible Motorola smartphones and Windows PCs.
Users who need a laptop-like experience can also purchase the dedicated Motorola Snap-on Keyboard accessory. It includes a full-sized keyboard, a trackpad, and a dedicated Smart Key that provides quick access to AI features. Motorola is also offering the keyboard at a discounted bundled price with the 256GB storage variant.
The moto pad 70 Pro packs a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash for document scanning and casual photography. For video calls and online meetings, it features an 8MP fixed-focus front camera.
The tablet also includes a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button for secure unlocking. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type-C, and USB Type-C audio support.
The tablet packs a large 10,200mAh battery and supports 68W fast charging
Despite housing a large battery, the moto pad 70 Pro features a slim full-metal body measuring just 6.2mm thick and weighs 598g. It also carries an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance. Motorola is offering the tablet in a Pantone-curated Titan colour finish.
