Instagram has started rolling out a new feature that allows users to rearrange posts on their profile grid. The feature, called “Reorder Your Grid,” gives users more control over how their profile looks and helps them highlight important content without affecting the original post details.
The update was confirmed by Adam Mosseri, who said the feature gives users greater flexibility in presenting their content on their profiles.
With this feature, users can change the position of posts on their profile grid and create a layout that better reflects their personal style, brand identity, or creative work.
To use the feature, users need to open their Instagram profile, tap and hold a post, and select the “Reorder Grid” option. They can then drag posts to different positions on the grid. Once the changes are saved, the updated layout becomes visible to everyone visiting the profile.
Instagram has clarified that the feature only changes the appearance of posts on the profile grid. It does not change the original posting date, captions, comments, or any other content associated with the post.
The new option could be useful for creators, influencers, businesses, and brands that want to showcase their best content at the top of their profile. It can also help users refresh the appearance of their profile without having to delete and repost content.
The Reorder Your Grid feature is being rolled out gradually to users worldwide and is available through the post options menu on supported accounts. Users who do not see the feature yet may need to wait until the rollout reaches their account.
