Microsoft has refreshed its Xbox Free Play Days promotion for the weekend and is giving Xbox Game Pass subscribers access to two games at no extra cost. This week’s lineup includes Deadside and CATAN – Console Edition.
Unlike recent weeks that featured multiple titles, this weekend’s Free Play Days promotion only includes two games. However, both offer very different gameplay experiences for players.
To access the games, users need an active Xbox Game Pass membership, including Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Standard, or Game Pass Core.
Deadside is an open-world survival shooter set in a post-apocalyptic environment. Players must gather resources, build shelters, survive enemy attacks, and explore the world. The game includes both PvE and PvP servers. This allows players to either focus on survival against AI enemies or compete against other players online.
CATAN – Console Edition is the digital adaptation of the popular board game Catan. The game focuses on strategy, trading, and resource management as players build settlements and expand across the map.
Players can enjoy the game in local multiplayer, online multiplayer, or solo mode against AI opponents. The game also features dynamically generated boards, making every match different.
Microsoft says all progress and achievements earned during the Free Play Days event will carry over automatically if players decide to purchase the games later.
Both titles are also currently available at discounted prices on the Microsoft Store.
Xbox players can find the games by opening the Store on their console and visiting the Subscriptions section under Home, where the Free Play Days collection is listed.
