Dotemu and Old Skull Games have announced Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster, a new 2D action platformer set in the Warhammer universe.
The game is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. It is scheduled to launch in 2027.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster puts players in the role of a Skaven assassin. The game focuses on stealth, fast movement, and brutal combat while offering a darker and gritty take on the 2D action platformer genre.
According to the developers, players will explore a grim and unstable world while using stealth-based gameplay mechanics to escape enemies, eliminate targets, and rise through the ranks to become a Deathmaster.
The announcement teaser hints at a fast-paced side-scrolling experience with platforming, sneaky assassinations, and atmospheric environments inspired by the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe.
Dotemu is known for publishing several popular retro-inspired action games, while Old Skull Games previously worked on narrative-driven and action-focused titles.
