Sony has officially announced its next State of Play presentation, which will take place in June and feature more than 60 minutes of game announcements, updates, and gameplay reveals from both first-party and third-party studios.
The showcase will be streamed on June 2 at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET. For viewers in Europe, the livestream begins at 11:00 PM CEST, while audiences in Japan can watch it on June 3 at 6:00 AM JST. Sony confirmed that the event will be available on the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels in both English and Japanese.
One of the biggest highlights of the presentation will be an extended look at Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games. Sony says the studio will showcase more details about the upcoming third-person action-adventure game, including its brutal combat mechanics and new gameplay information.
The game is scheduled to launch on September 15 and is set in the same universe as Insomniac’s Spider-Man titles.
The event is also expected to include updates on other upcoming PlayStation games. Rumored appearances include Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet from Naughty Dog and the live-service title Horizon Hunters Gathering.
Sony is also organizing special watch parties in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema across select locations in the United States. Fans will be able to watch the showcase on big screens for free, although seating will be limited and available on a first-come basis through the Alamo Drafthouse website.
