realme has officially confirmed the launch of the realme 16T 5G in India. The smartphone will debut on May 22, 2026. It is the successor to last year’s realme 15T.
The most notable feature of the phone is the 8000mAh battery. Realme says the device is designed for users who spend long hours gaming, streaming videos, or travelling.
According to the company, the realme 16T 5G can deliver up to three days of usage on a single charge. These claims are based on realme’s internal DOU V3.0 heavy usage testing.
The phone also supports 45W fast charging. The company is also introducing what it calls “7-Year Battery Health” technology. This system uses battery management algorithms to slow down battery degradation over time.
The device also includes features such as All-Scenario Bypass Charging, Advanced Temperature Protection, and Overcharge Protection.
Despite packing a massive battery, the realme 16T 5G keeps a relatively slim design with an 8.88mm profile. The phone features a flat 6.8-inch display, a metallic finish mid-frame, and an aluminum alloy camera module.
realme also claims the phone can run Battlegrounds Mobile India for up to 11 hours continuously while maintaining stable 60FPS gameplay.
On the back, it features a new “Gleaming Wings” design with a textured gradient finish. realme says the rear panel uses a three-layer process with multi-colored particles to create a mix of silver, green, and glitter effects.
The realme 16T 5G will be available through Flipkart, realme India, and offline retail stores after launch. The company will reveal full specifications, pricing, and availability details during the official launch event on May 22.
