Mob Entertainment has announced that Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on May 27.
The game was previously released for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store earlier this year. With this new release, console players will finally get access to the latest chapter in the Poppy Playtime series.
The console version will be available across both current-generation and older-generation systems, which should help the game reach a much larger audience. Nintendo Switch support is also notable since horror games often skip the platform due to hardware limitations.
Alongside the announcement, the developer also released a new console trailer showcasing gameplay and the horror atmosphere designed for the upcoming console release.
The latest chapter introduces new areas, additional puzzles, environmental challenges, and new GrabPack abilities. Players will also encounter more characters and explore deeper sections of the Playtime facility.The
Poppy Playtime franchise has already built a strong fanbase online through streamers, YouTube videos, and horror gaming communities, so bringing the game to consoles feels like a natural next step.
