OnePlus has launched the new OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite in India. The smartphone marks the return of the Nord CE Lite lineup after a gap of nearly two years and arrives as the successor to the Nord CE4 Lite. It brings several upgrades compared to its predecessor, including a faster chipset, larger battery, higher refresh rate display, improved cooling system, and newer software features.
The phone features a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The panel supports adaptive refresh rates ranging from 30Hz to 144Hz, depending on the content being displayed. The display also supports up to 240Hz touch sampling rate and High Brightness Mode up to 1000 nits. It also has Wet and oily finger touch recognition.
The Nord CE6 Lite is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset built on a 4nm process. OnePlus claims the device scores over 1,030,000 points on AnTuTu benchmarks. According to the company, this delivers around 43% better overall performance and up to 155% improved graphics output compared to the previous generation.
The smartphone is available with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It also supports dynamic RAM expansion up to 16GB.
Unlike many phones in this segment, the Nord CE6 Lite still includes expandable storage support through a microSD card slot, supporting cards up to 2TB.
OnePlus is also positioning the Nord CE6 Lite as a capable gaming smartphone. It claims to offer up to 144FPS gameplay in Subway Surfers and up to 90FPS in BGMI, Free Fire Max, and Call of Duty: Mobile. To maintain stable performance during long gaming sessions, the smartphone includes a large 5300mm² vapor chamber cooling system. This cooling setup should help reduce thermal throttling during extended gaming or heavy multitasking.
The Nord CE6 Lite runs Android 16 with OxygenOS 16. OnePlus says the software brings noticeable performance improvements, including 36% faster camera response, 29% faster app cold start, and 17% faster system startup. The company also claims the device is optimized to maintain smooth performance for up to 60 months.
Google Gemini integration is built directly into the software. Users can use Gemini for writing assistance, reading summaries, planning tasks, and real-time assistance through Gemini Live.
Gemini Live can also provide contextual help based on what is visible on the screen or through the camera viewfinder.
The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP OmniVision OV50D40 sensor. The rear camera supports up to 4K 30fps video recording and up to 10x digital zoom. The secondary camera is a 2MP monochrome sensor.
For selfies and video calls, the phone includes an 8MP front camera capable of recording 1080p video.
OnePlus has also added several AI-powered editing tools, including AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser, AI Reflection Eraser, AI Reframe, AI Perfect Shot, AI Unblur, and AI Detail Boost.
The device also supports Dual-View Video, allowing users to record from the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
The phone includes stereo speakers, USB Type-C audio, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It packs a 7000mAh battery and supports 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging. OnePlus has also included bypass charging support.
The OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite features a matte-finish rear panel and comes in Vivid Mint and Hyper Black color options. The smartphone measures 8.5mm thick and weighs around 208g. For durability, the device carries IP64 certification for dust and splash resistance. It has also passed MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability testing.
