Konami’s Silent Hill f Sells 2 Million Copies Worldwide

Silent Hill f

Silent Hill f has crossed a major sales milestone. Konami has announced that total shipments and digital sales for the game have now surpassed 2 million units worldwide as of April 22.

The game originally launched on September 25, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.

Interestingly, Silent Hill f had a very strong launch period. The game crossed 1 million sales within just one day after release, showing massive interest from horror fans and longtime Silent Hill players.

The game itself takes a very different approach compared to earlier Silent Hill titles. Instead of the traditional American setting, Silent Hill f is set in 1960s Japan and focuses heavily on psychological horror, disturbing visuals, mystery, and survival elements.

The game received attention mainly because of its unsettling atmosphere, Japanese horror inspirations, and darker visual style. Many players compared its tone to games like Resident Evil Village, Fatal Frame, The Evil Within, and Silent Hill 2.

However, current player activity suggests the game’s momentum has slowed significantly after launch.

According to recent Steam data, Silent Hill f currently has around 330 active players with a 24-hour peak of 509 players. Its all-time Steam peak reached 22,621 concurrent players around eight months ago during launch.

Twitch interest has also dropped sharply. Current Twitch statistics show only 137 active viewers across 16 live channels. The game’s all-time Twitch peak previously reached over 173,000 viewers during its launch period.

The numbers suggest Silent Hill f performed strongly as a launch-driven single-player horror experience rather than a long-term live-service style game.

The current engagement numbers also show how difficult it has become for premium single-player games to maintain long-term streaming relevance unless they constantly receive updates, multiplayer modes, or live-service content.

Still, Silent Hill f appears to have successfully reintroduced the franchise to modern audiences while proving there is still strong demand for psychological horror games.
