Gear.Club Unlimited 3 Coming to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC This October

Gear.Club Unlimited 3

Publisher Nacon and developer Eden Games have announced that Gear.Club Unlimited 3 will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam this October.

The game is currently available on Nintendo Switch 2, where it first launched on February 19.

Gear.Club Unlimited 3 is the latest entry in the long-running Gear.Club racing franchise, which the company says has attracted over 22 million players worldwide. This new installment brings a bigger focus on Japanese car culture, high-speed highway racing, and expanded customization options.

In the game’s Story Mode, players travel to Japan to open the country’s first Gear.Club. The story revolves around building a successful racing team by recruiting drivers, mechanics, and engineers while exploring Japan’s unique automotive scene. The game will also feature connections between France and Japan, highlighting car culture from both regions.

Gear.Club Unlimited 3 brings Highway Mode. This mode focuses on high-speed highway driving inspired by Japanese expressway racing culture. Players will race at speeds above 300 km/h while navigating through traffic and dangerous corners. According to the developers, the mode is designed to deliver a more intense and adrenaline-filled driving experience.

The game will feature more than 50 tracks set across France and Japan. Players can participate in traditional races, sprint events, and duels. There will also be a cooperative highway mode along with local split-screen multiplayer support for two players.

Gear.Club Unlimited 3 will also include officially licensed vehicles from well-known manufacturers. Players will also be able to customize and upgrade their cars extensively to improve both performance and visual style.

Nacon has not yet announced an exact release date for the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC versions, but the game is currently scheduled to launch sometime in October.

From what the Switch 2 version has shown so far, Gear.Club Unlimited 3 looks like a solid step forward for the franchise. The new Japan setting, highway racing, and improved visuals give the game a much fresher identity compared to older Gear.Club titles. Highway Mode especially looks like one of the biggest highlights of the game with its high-speed racing through dense traffic.

However the game still seems to carry some of the limitations seen in earlier entries. The driving physics do not look as refined as bigger racing franchises, and progression may start feeling repetitive after long sessions. Some gameplay elements also still feel closer to an arcade mobile-style racer than a full simulation racing experience.

The PS5, Xbox Series, and PC versions could end up being the best way to experience the game. More powerful hardware should help deliver better graphics, smoother frame rates, faster loading times, and more stable performance during intense highway races.
