Amazon India has expanded its Echo smart speaker lineup in India with the launch of the new Amazon Echo Dot Max and Amazon Echo Studio. The new smart speakers bring upgraded audio hardware, built-in smart home hub support, improved Alexa capabilities, and support for modern connectivity standards.
Amazon Echo Dot Max
The Echo Dot Max is Amazon’s latest compact smart speaker. It features a redesigned two-way speaker system that includes a high-excursion woofer for deeper bass and a custom tweeter for clearer high frequencies.
Amazon says the Echo Dot Max delivers nearly three times more bass compared to the previous Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen). The company has also redesigned the internal architecture and increased the internal air space to improve bass response and efficiency.
The speaker can automatically adjust audio output based on room acoustics. It is also the first Echo Dot speaker to include a built-in smart home hub.

Amazon Echo Studio
The new Echo Studio focuses on premium audio performance and supports spatial audio with Dolby Atmos. It comes with a high-excursion woofer and three full-range drivers designed to deliver wider sound output with improved depth and clarity.
Amazon has also introduced a new compact spherical design with a 3D knit fabric finish that helps maintain acoustic transparency.

Both smart speakers come with Alexa built in and support voice commands for music playback, podcasts, audiobooks, weather updates, alarms, reminders, and smart home controls.
The devices support streaming services including Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, JioSaavn, and Audible.
Amazon has also added Omnisense ambient AI technology that enables automated smart home experiences using motion, temperature, audio sensing, ultrasound, Wi-Fi radar, and accelerometer-based sensing.
Both speakers support smart home standards including Zigbee, Matter, Thread, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. Users can also pair up to five Echo devices with compatible Amazon Fire TV Stick models for Alexa Home Theater experiences.
Amazon says the new devices also offer nearly 50 percent better Alexa wake-word detection and improved conversation detection capabilities.
The speakers are also designed to support Alexa+, Amazon’s generative AI-powered assistant, once it becomes available in India.

The Echo Dot Max is priced at Rs. 10,999 (Amazon.in) and comes in Graphite, Amethyst, and Glacier White colour options.
The Echo Studio is priced at Rs. 23,999 (Amazon.in) and is available in Graphite and Glacier White colours.
Both smart speakers are now available via Amazon India and Flipkart. Prime members can also get 5% cashback using the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card.
