Acer has launched the new Acer Aspire 5 AI laptop in India. The company is positioning it as a thin and lightweight productivity laptop with Intel’s latest AI-focused processors, premium portability, and modern connectivity features.
The new Aspire 5 AI comes with Intel Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 H-series processors. Buyers can configure the laptop with up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB NVMe SSD storage. Acer has also included a 14-inch WUXGA IPS display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a taller 16:10 aspect ratio, which should make it more comfortable for productivity tasks like browsing, writing, and multitasking.
The laptop has a slim 17.5mm profile and weighs around 1.2kg, which makes it easy to carry around for students and office users. It also includes a 180-degree hinge, backlit keyboard, precision touchpad, Full HD webcam with a privacy shutter, and dual stereo speakers.
It offers USB Type-C with charging and display support, HDMI, multiple USB ports, an SD card reader, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Acer has packed a 54Wh battery with 65W USB-C fast charging support.
The Acer Aspire 5 AI starts at Rs. 79,999 and will be sold through Acer stores, Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales.
The inclusion of Intel Core Ultra H-series processors is definitely a strong point, and the lightweight design also makes the laptop appealing to users who travel frequently. But Acer is still offering a standard IPS panel and a relatively modest 54Wh battery at this price.
