New Pirate Strategy Game Corsair Cove Announced for PC

Corsair Cove

Publisher Hooded Horse and developer Limbic Entertainment have announced a new pirate-themed city builder called Corsair Cove. The game is set to launch in 2026 for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.

Corsair Cove puts players in control of a pirate settlement. You start with a small crew on a deserted island and slowly build it into a large pirate haven.

The game focuses on city building, but with a twist. You can build across cliffs and uneven terrain, not just flat land. This adds a new layer of strategy, as you will need to manage space and plan structures carefully.

Players will also manage complex production chains. You will create everything from basic supplies to weapons like cannons and pistols. These are needed to support your growing pirate population and fleet.

Another important part of the game is exploration. You can build ships and send them to nearby islands. Some resources are not available on your island, so raiding and exploring become necessary.

Naval combat is also included. You can fight enemy ships using turn-based mechanics. The outcome depends on your ship, crew, and strategy.

The game also includes crew management. Different types of pirates have different needs. If you do not keep them happy, they may leave your settlement.

There is also a larger story element. Players will face off against the Crown, which is trying to end piracy. You can complete quests, fight enemies, and expand your influence across the map.

Corsair Cove looks similar to games like Tropico 6 and Anno 1800 when it comes to city building and managing production chains. At the same time, its pirate theme and naval combat may remind players of games like Port Royale 4 or even classic strategy titles like Commandos in terms of planning and execution. If you enjoy managing resources, building large systems, and also taking part in battles, this game seems to sit right in the middle of all these experiences.
