Dell has launched the new XPS 14 and XPS 16 laptops in India. The new lineup brings a refreshed design, updated internals, and a focus on thin and portable form factors. Both models are now available across Dell’s online and offline channels in the country.
The XPS 14 and XPS 16 feature a CNC-machined aluminum chassis with Gorilla Glass protection. The design looks cleaner with fewer visible seams, and the XPS logo is now placed at the center of the lid.
Both laptops are around 14.6mm thick. The XPS 14 starts at 1.36kg, while the XPS 16 starts at 1.65kg. These numbers make them relatively light for their categories, especially the 16-inch model.
Dell has also brought back the physical function row. The laptops include a zero-lattice keyboard and a seamless glass touchpad with haptic feedback.
The XPS 14 comes with a 14-inch display, while the XPS 16 features a larger 16-inch panel. Users can choose between a 2K LCD or higher resolution OLED options.

Both models support Dolby Vision and Eyesafe technology. Dell says the Tandem OLED panels are more efficient and can reduce power usage compared to older OLED panels.
Both laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, with configurations going up to Intel Core Ultra X7 358H. They also include Intel Arc integrated graphics and support up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and PCIe Gen4 SSD storage.
The platform includes an Intel AI Boost NPU with up to 50 TOPs, which aims at handling AI-based workloads and Copilot+ PC features.
Dell claims:
- Up to 57 percent faster AI performance on XPS 14
- Up to 78 percent faster AI performance on XPS 16
- Over 50 percent faster graphics compared to previous generation
These are company claims, so real-world performance will depend on usage and software optimization.
The thermal system has also been redesigned. It uses larger fans and improved airflow. Dell says these results in up to 8°C lower surface temperature and up to 36 percent less noise.
The laptops include an 8MP camera with support for 4K HDR and Windows Hello. Dell has used a compact camera module with a narrow optical design.
Audio is handled by a quad-speaker setup with a total output of 10W and support for Dolby Atmos.
Both modes include 3x Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, TPM 2.0, and Windows Hello security. They also support Windows Autopilot for enterprise deployment.
