Microsoft has kicked off its first Free Play Days promotion for February and is giving Xbox players a chance to try six games this weekend. As part of a special theme, all the titles in this lineup are published by 2K Games. The offer is available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Standard, and Core members. Players with an active membership can download and play the games for free until the promotion ends.
The current Free Play Days lineup includes NBA 2K26, PGA Tour 2K25, TopSpin 2K25, Risk of Rain 2, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, and LEGO 2K Drive.
Sports fans can jump into NBA 2K26 for basketball action, PGA Tour 2K25 for golf, or TopSpin 2K25 for tennis. Strategy players can try Civilization VI, which lets players build and expand empires using famous leaders from history. LEGO 2K Drive offers open-world racing with the option to build custom vehicles, while Risk of Rain 2 brings fast-paced roguelike action with cooperative multiplayer support for up to four players.
Those wanting to have some open-world racing action can jump into LEGO 2K Drive instead, which even lets you build your own vehicles to go racing. Lastly, chaotic roguelike fans have Risk of Rain 2 to try out. This horde-fighting looter game offers cooperative play too, letting up to four players enjoy its battles against countless enemies and massive bosses.
As always, any progress made during the weekend also carries over automatically if you decide to purchase a game afterward.
Here are the newly announced games and the platforms they are available to play on:
- NBA 2K26 – (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
- PGA TOUR 2K25 – (Xbox Series X|S)
- TopSpin 2K25 – (Xbox Series X|S)
- Risk of Rain 2 – (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
- Sid Meier’s Civilization VI – (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
- LEGO 2K Drive – (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
Microsoft said that any progress made during the free weekend will carry over if players decide to buy the game later.
All six games are available on Xbox Series X and Series S, with select titles also playable on Xbox One. Players can find the Free Play Days collection by opening the Microsoft Store on their console, going to Subscriptions, and selecting the Free Play Days section.
The 2K-themed Free Play Days promotion will run until Sunday, February 8, and will end at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
