POCO has introduced its new budget 5G phone, the POCO C85 5G, in India. The phone aims at users who want a large display, long battery life, and stable performance without spending too much.
The POCO C85 5G comes with a massive 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The brightness goes up to 810 nits at peak, so outdoor visibility should be fine. The screen also comes with TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free viewing to make it comfortable for long usage.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It is a 6nm processor that supports 5G and handles everyday tasks well. POCO offers the phone in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM variants, and there is also the option to expand the RAM by another 8GB virtually. The phone runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2.2, and POCO has promised 2 years of software updates along with 4 years of security updates. For a budget device, that is actually good to see.
It has a 50-megapixel main camera on the back, along with a secondary lens for support. It is designed mainly for simple shots, social media photos, and everyday use. The front camera is 8 megapixels and should be fine for basic selfies and video calls.
POCO has included a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM Radio, and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
The device packs a large 6000mAh battery, which can easily last a full day even with heavy usage. The 33W fast charging can take the battery from zero to around fifty percent in under half an hour.T he phone also supports 10W reverse wired charging.

POCO is offering the C85 5G in three colour options: Mystic Purple, Spring Green, and Power Black.
