Ubisoft and Evil Empire have announced that The Rogue Prince of Persia is finally coming to Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2 on December 16. The game has already been available on other platforms, and now Nintendo players will also get a chance to experience this fast-paced roguelite adventure.
The Rogue Prince of Persia first appeared in Early Access for PC via Steam in May 2024. After months of updates and improvements, the full version launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in August 2025. The game is also part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Xbox Game Pass.
This action-packed roguelite lets players master fluid acrobatic moves while blending platforming and combat seamlessly. You can use different weapons, equip special trinkets, and build your own fighting style. Each run brings new characters, areas, and story elements as you fight to save Persia from a dark Hun invasion.
Players will lead the Prince through a reimagined version of Persia filled with colorful characters and dangerous enemies. The game’s wall-running, dodging, and combat mechanics make every encounter exciting and skill-based. As you progress, you can unlock new weapons and medallions, and each level is procedurally generated, ensuring no two runs feel the same.
The Rogue Prince of Persia offers both challenge and creativity, allowing players to adapt their strategy and improve with every attempt. With its upcoming launch on Switch and Switch 2, even more players will soon be able to experience this unique take on the classic Prince of Persia universe.
